Yo! As you may have noticed, there have been some changes around these parts and I’m still playing around with some themes, ironically enough, that I like best. Thanks to a good friend of mine, my site has been moved to a new server so I’m trying to restore everything as well as add some new stuff. Maybe I should add an “off the record” section or something to show off my lyric/song writing skills, or a place to just shoot the breeze. Who knows.

While this is going on I decided to take a little breather from Theme Builder too, mainly because Composer is driving me nuts and I just can’t figure out how to add those damn hotkeys, even though I follow all the steps to a T (what does to a T mean anyway?) every single time. I got the mini icons figured out. I got the hidden dock figured out. I got the animations figured out too. Like I told my tweeters though, the wheels are always spinning so I can never truly step away. Anyway, I’m still doing customizations for sure so if you need my services, you know how to reach me.

What will I do next?

I present to you, Canvas.

Obviously the focus here is weather. Now that the 9700 is my daily device, I noticed that the smart folks over at RIM removed to “F” shortcut key to get to profiles. So it’s hidden. Scroll up to access hidden profiles, then to down to access the weather app of your choice. Fonts are still left untouched, unless of course you are running a beta OS that screws it up. Also, the new message indicator area is a nice touch I’m considering adding to all my themes from here on. Any feedback is always welcomed.

P.S. For you date junkies, I placed it on the app screen to leave the homescreen as minimal as possible

Some Ringtones While You Wait?

Here are some I jacked from Palm and HTC. Like quite a few folks, I usually chop up my own songs to use for tones, but this time I needed something simple and classic for messages and IMs. Maybe you’ll find some useful as well.

Here’s my take on a winter theme. With “Brrr” the homescreen is blank until you begin to scroll to the right where up to 9 hidden icons appear one at a time. The ultimate feature is that when each icon appears, it slides from the left and then heads right and ascends upward like Santa’s sleigh.

This premium quality theme is free of charge and I just want to thank those of you who buy themes elswhere but still find it in your hearts to donate for my “time” and “hours of effort.” I appreciate you letting my work take up some memory on your beloved BlackBerry devices.

* It’s been brought to my attention that 8900 themes work with no hassle on 9700s, therefore I am providing a single link for both. Enjoy, folks.
